The BT video update on 4/26 states the IPA has calculated subcontracted domestic flying is worth 13 lines.

Had a friend attend the FAPA event and she doesn’t remember the last two statements of yours ever being brought up?

While I can't speak for any pointy-nose military pilots, there have been pilots hired this year from GoJet, Expressjet, PSA, Republic, Piedmont, Endeavor, and Envoy.

If it's true they are shying away from fighter pilots, is it maybe that they leave when Delta, United or American finally call?

It isn’t true. And no, there isn’t a problem with fighter pilots leaving UPS for the other carriers. In most cases, if we’re here it’s because this was our top choice (and yes, the major passenger carriers called).

I was regional scum hired in 2016... my sim partner flew around in a ejection seat for 12 years (there was also 3 other regional and another F16 guy in my class)... so, unless things have changed, I think that’s a pretty bogus statement. Are the numbers disproportionaltely in favor of heavy ACMI and global ops people? Absolutely, but, they are certainly hiring a bit from EVERY background.

That’s a very small sample. Personally I don’t believe anything has changed. They’re still hiring people from every walk of life; military, civilian, fighter jocks, rj drivers, charter, part 135/91, etc.. Few weeks ago met up with a group of newhires who’re still in training. Several RJ drivers there and they’re all doing well.
