2018 UPS hiring

They'll catch up with subcontracting our flying.
Meanwhile, our hiring numbers will be similar to previous years. But somehow, we will remain below 3000 pilots.

No shi# detective......business is up......block hours are also. Growth happening. Hiring....albeit not as fast as we would all like. Trying to see how we were duped? Sounds like you have some sort of agenda to me. I’ll take the extra business any day. I’ll give the short sightedness of UPS a little benefit of the doubt to see if they can catch up.

How about you ask your beloved EB to compare the amount of reserve lines from 18-04 to 17-04, or how about ask them to share the total amount of block the average crew member including reserves is flying in 18-03 vs 17-03. It's, ok that the schedules are killing us, cause business is up, let alone all the efficiencies we gave back. A concessionary contract at best and cost neutral to the company, we got duped! Great work as long as I got a 15K a year raise given your philosophy right? No hidden agenda, just think the EB has their own agenda and it doesn't include me. Time for them to go and new blood brought in.

I doubt this year's number will match 2017. The slow down is already happening. Wait til the arbitration goes their way...I'm afraid to think about what's in store for us.

Agreed, they better be 100% right they are going to win or Trent and the rest of them need to be fired. If we lose we are done, a huge gamble for a few dollars every other paycheck IMHO. Seen this horror show before and the outcome not so good for the pilot group.

We are not going to win in arbitration. The best we can hope for is some kind of monetary settlement. No arbitrator is going to force UPS to get rid of the contractors causing harm to the company and it's customers.

So much for that iron clad scope clause the union is so proud of.

Not the way I see it, they are violating our contract. Look squirrel, we're growing.
Agree with the others, what arbitrator is going to hurt the companies business. And a few extra $20s in the paycheck isn't worth it.
