I was assigned Z as new hire... that being said I think it was a mistake on someone’s part. I’m still the plug after almost a year.

No SDFZ vacancies were remaining after last November's system bid.

That’s true and I was on the displacement list. Once all the cards settled I not only held Z but actually moved up a couple of notches. Or at least I will once the other folks move over. I’m not really trying to make a point other than you never know. That and if you have the patience to wait a bit you can always try to bid over on the next system bid.

Back to the reserve thing though, as the plug I’m not able to hold any reserve. Only during peak could I hold it. Now it’s all base trip lines.

Drop all ur trips on the trip board and build ur own line from opentime

without looking I would say at about half of thirtyish reserve lines are 2 week blocks (or close) - at least that is all I ever bid (and get) and I’m pretty low on the totem pole.

Is it just how it’s worked out lately or an actual rule? In the ‘05-‘07 timeframe we could see newhires going to Z from time to time.

Not a "rule", there just were no SDFZ FO vacancies after the November bid closed.
