Fantastic! Y’all have been just below the 3000 threshold for over a decade or more? Is this a sign of the times? More business, greater expansion, uptick forecasts or bumping up the group with longer lines around the building? Curious as to the driving force. Good stuff.

Largely driven by fleet growth via added airframes.

As you know (some readers may not though), comparing our size now to the “old days” is apples to oranges. We had a pretty good number of flight engineers on the list that never needed replacing when the 727/747/Dc-8s went away.

When 2020 is said and done, we will most likely retire over 100 this year, and this is not even the start of the “big wave”.
