It was probably a FDX pilot as they do have a CGN domicile. However rules are the same for ALL US airlines, you must be a citizen or a permanent resident. No exceptions. (MajorPilot - yes, that applies to Puerto Ricans as well. ;-) )

We do have several pilots at UPS who do live in Europe. Not the easiest commute, trip-trading, fly-no-pays, etc.. are often involved but it is possible.
