Totally agree. NEVER had my app in, no job fairs, knew no one in mgmt, put in my app mid January the year I was hired, got a call from Larry Parker 3 weeks later, interview roughly 2 months later, in class 3 weeks after that. From first call to class about 3 months. Crazy!! No idea how they pulled, scored my app and interview. With all this going on, very fortunate to be here, not a perfect job by any means, but damn good job security. Keep at it, worth it!!!

This is a very good, stable job (I can’t emphasize STABLE). Not the sexiest for sure. Flying purely domestic night hub sort is tough (I don’t do it). Benefits and pay are probably the best out there. Management does not care about you, but most employers pay lip service and really don’t, at least UPS is very clear. But if you come do your job, don’t engage in any BS, deal with FQS folks with courtesy and respect, arms length (they are NOT your friends), you will enjoy it as much as it can be enjoyed. You can be as happy or miserable as you want here. It will take your first full year to understand who UPS is and how different they are than other “airline” jobs. All in all after 2+ years, I do miss my former corporate flying, however, ZERO regrets as the financial and long term stability this job provides is unmatched, barring my colleagues who suffered the unnecessary furlough.
