hmm
Your question is answered above, but it highlights why a lot of guys get TBNT responses year after year. The UPS app doesn’t allow you to go back in after you fill it out and fix errors. When you are done, it grades you and effectively locks you out. Even if you score as Active and can get back in, HR only sees your initial input. It is critical you have all of your relevant info handy before you start the app and read the directions carefully. I’m not defending the software, merely pointing out that it is far less forgiving than every other airline app I filled out. Good luck to everyone

If scored Active, your application has already crossed the threshold score for you to be called in for an interview. HR sets that threshold to help whittle down the number of apps to actually look at. Covid has definitely impacted this process to some degree. In my interactions with the HR folks (several years ago now) they mentioned that even having an active scored app wouldn’t get it looked by a human being. The pool of Active applications was still so large they were only looking at applications that had an internal rec or a job fair rec. I suspect that may still be the case. Always keep in mind that the advice you receive here is merely the perspective of folks who made it through the process. HR doesn’t formally share their process with the IPA, so we are providing anecdotes and informed guesses.

That is correct. You simply need to do the annual resubmit. If called for the interview I would ensure that your resume and logbook cover letter (explaining how you crunched the numbers) have the latest and greatest to max out your interview score.

Hey all, I've been reading a lot of these comments and I'm curious... I've been applying for the last few years and clearly it saves a profile of you on the UPS jobs website... when I apply now, does it give me the opportunity to fill out a new application/upload new resume/update times/ etc? Or does it simply resubmit a presaved application from last year? I'm scared to continue the application only for it to submit old information and not be able to update it and immediately get that TBNT email.
Thanks for your advice.

Does UPS give any credit for single engine tpic? The app says ME turboprop only. I have almost 2,000 hrs tpic but unfortunately its all se (pilatus). Working on turbofan pic but unfortunately covid has put a major halt to that this year.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Officially, no. However, you can place your PC12 time in the multi engine turboprop section. Than explain in the notes that you placed it there since you couldn’t find a better spot. This will get you past the software filter, but it’s only worked for mil T6 time to my knowledge. If that is all your turbine time, it’s unlikely you will get the interview anyway. Good luck.
