Great news for current swimmers! Good luck to everyone!!!

At the most recent NGPA conference (https://www.ngpa.org/up_in_the_air_p...cordings#pages), HR said there were 33 new hires in Jan, will be 45 in Feb, 30 in Mar and 30 in Apr, and 28 in May. If that same pace holds it will be close to 400 in 2021. Time will tell if this year will be different as far as hiring projections go, but that is good news for now.

I’m betting 349 🤞

From what I can tell a pool letter hasn't gone out since spring 2020.

Are they maintaining a pool anymore? It seems that you interview and don't hear anything until a CJO offer. Or the TBNT mailing.

Wait. So you interview successfully at UPS and they tell you... nothing?

Ding ding ding. Yes, nada. They just expect you to wait patiently with the no news is good news approach. It’s ridiculous

One person that recently received a CJO reported going almost a year with zero communication post interview.

June of 2020 here. I'll wait. But I wish I could get a yes or no. Making a lot of life decisions based on getting the call or not. Can't do this forever.

A year or so ago we hired someone who interviewed almost 3 years prior. You guessed it, absolutely no communication, no letters, emails, calls, nada.. as if this person had never even interviewed. Then ~2 years later a call for a class date?!?
Can’t make this up.. Embarrassing.

It’s getting really old eating takeout on the road domestically and being effectively locked in hotel rooms internationally. I expect retirements to ramp up.

Seems on track...hope the train keeps chugging along.
