Unless we get more 74, I think your wait time will be longer. But getting to Anc can be a pain if you don't book the JS right away.

What he said. Lots of flights from SDF, but they're all full. It's doable, but can be stressful.

Hi mate,

Firstly, congrats for the call! Could I ask about your app and the locked status? Were all of your items locked or did the Contact info and Employment histories still have the green ticks?

Much appreciated for the info

Thanks! Been applying for about 10 years. Looks like all is locked but contact info. Hopefully won’t be long now. Good luck

As someone who's about to enter the civilian flying world from a military rotor craft background, UPS is the end goal.

Would you guys mind telling me about your current time flying (experience and hours)? I know results vary every year in the airlines with all the changes that occur, but I'm interested in seeing what's currently considered attractive to UPS.

I was around ~10000TT when I was hired. Lots of Part 135 jet PIC. A lot less 121 longhaul, widebody SIC. I was towards the high side in both age and experience in my class, but by no means first or second. Military guys were much lower time for obvious reasons. My perception is that they put a lot of weight on wanting to be at UPS vs. "whoever calls first". If it's your "dream job", you'll probably ace the interview if you aren't an idiot and have done your homework, the trick is getting the call. For that, it seems like job fairs tend to be the magic knock. I'm pretty sure they were for me, at least. Good luck. It's not perfect, but nothing is. If you keep your head down, nose clean, and just let the occasional silliness be water off a duck's back, it's a great place to be. The checks arrive when they're supposed to, with the correct number of zeroes, and the crews are almost universally good people to fly with.
