Flask or unsealed bottle of your favorite adult beverage. Depending on the carrier don’t know what the issue would be with the latter.

Not exactly a jumpseating issue…UPS does not allow alcohol on property at all…so you would get stopped way before you got to the airplane. Even if you are just visiting your buddy in ops..dont bring alcohol with you.

Still no alcohol, but at least we can have face tattoos and a mohawk!

Let your jumpseat committee know so they can communicate with the IPA JS committee. And the proper information is updated, we are happy to have you on board and I don't think there is one person on property that views this rule positively. But it is what it is, I wish it wasn't this way.

I will do that! Hopefully this rule is published everywhere, including the ALPA jumpseat guide, soon so nobody else is caught off guard.

To my mind, as far as alcohol, nothing the rest of us hadn't done. There was a discrepancy between our rules, where it was OK, and the rules at the rest of the company where it was verboten. They put the rules in synch and used it as an opportunity to smear one of us. I'll bet you there's a wet bar somewhere in Sandy Springs.

Easy fix.. stop drinking. Well to each their own.
Yes UPS has a no alcohol policy.
The other sticking point is, you can not have alcohol on the flight deck. On a freighter for most companies. The whole upper deck is the flight deck! So unless you stow it in the bulk or something. Its a no go anyway.

Why would you haul your bag all the way to the upper deck? Don't you store crew bags on the main deck on the 747?
