Hey everyone on the poolie list, when you updated your app as instructed, it showed the page with all the green check marks.. Has anyones then changed back to the padlocks?

Nope. Mine is still available to edit.

Any poolies with times closer to mins willing to share their quals when they got the call? TT, TPIC, airframe, special quals, etc? Public or PM works! My only reference point is a C-17 buddy with 2500TT and about 1500TPIC with 3 internal recs.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe timing with getting the call is more-so based on the candidate’s interview “score” rather than their flight hours.

HR has never shared their scoring system, so take the following with a grain of salt.

Supposedly, HR scores your total application including your interview and if you meet the minimum score you go into the pool. When they look to fill classes, they simply take the highest scoring poolies and offer them a class date. So, theoretically, it’s possible to make it into the pool and never be offered a class date as better scoring applicants enter the pool and are scooped into classes.

Moral of the story, UPS is a great job, but don’t put your career in a holding pattern waiting for their call. Apply at FedEx, apply to the legacies, apply to your hometown airline. Do not cease to push your career forward. Seniority isn’t everything, but it certainly will impact your options wherever you end up.

Take it for what it’s worth. Buddy that went to WAI conference said the UPS folks there said that the app should be opening up again @ Apr-ish. I also noticed my app has now been locked again except for the employment history and address info just like previous app during interview process. Maybe some movement is coming?

Let’s hope so!

My app also just locked with no action from me. It was the new app from Dec 2022 they asked me to fill out post interview. Hoping for movement for everyone!

The number I heard recently was 127 new hires for the second half of the year. I would expect that to ramp up in the next 6-8 weeks for a June or July bid.
