Default First Round of MD Displacements Is Out

I’m doing my best to start a trend of no ties anywhere! My shirts suck, pants snag easy, we look like a s s as a pilot group, why bother with a tie?

At three in the morning I agree. Although I will advise probationary folks that it might not be worth it to walk tieless through the ASC. I do find I don’t like looking like a slob when I’m checking in or out of the hotel. That doesn’t mean I have to be wearing a tie, but I try not to be too rumpled.

Right. And really turned on by middle aged married men who don't look *that* rumpled.

Let’s face it, the “hot” front desk clerks don’t work the graveyard shift.

This drift was amusing, but what really matters is what fleet will go more junior in the left seat and which will go senior. Or…how many junior captains are going to be going back to the training center less than a year after they completed OE?

I suspect more than a couple junior MD CPTs will displace to MD FO, and the next realignment/displacement, they'll take a left seat elsewhere.

I think a good portion of MD CPTs subject to displacement will go to the 747 for lifestyle or 767 for seniority purposes, though some who were on the Bus previously will go there.

I think ANC/ONT/MIA will be mostly left alone in the displacement, but the bottom 10% of each seat in SDF is subject to churn.

Sorry to be a BandG thread thief but sometimes I crack myself up. Anyway, personal opinion is with all the shuffling coming down the pipe short term there will be some gnashing of teeth but in February of 2027 everyone will be more or less where they are now but with a touch more seniority. New hires I think should look elsewhere.

It appears a couple more guys have opted to retire and a few more new hires have opted to leave for greener pastures rather than deal with this. Plenty of MD captains are opting to downbid since their pay won’t drop until September bid effective date. I’m interested to see if there is a significant difference between the mock and the actual displacement bid. Currently, lots of churn at the bottom of the FO lists, as expected.
