Default F-35 vertical takeoff recovery

This clip has been making the email rounds. A software glitch commands an afterburner to light prematurely nearly sending an F-35 out of control except for an amazing save by the pilot.

That fooled me for a couple of seconds. It was the unrealistic acceleration that really gave it away though.

So it's a fake? Looks possible to me- he is full after burner he comes out of the rotation. I think it could accelerate that fast.

Not a big boat player, but that would probably be the most deserted carrier deck you would ever see during flight operations!
You don't have to stay in 'time out' for the entire day Cub!
