Default New Zealand Arrival Video

Pretty cool arrival, although I would've been a little nervous around the 2:45 mark...

Here we go again: "Hey here's a good idea...Let's put a non-STCed piece of equipment on the glareshield in IFR conditions into mountainous terrain and film the arrival."

"I wonder if it could cause a navigation error? Not that its been tested or anything."

"I wonder if the FAA could use it as de facto evidence of violation of sterile cockpit below 10,000 feet...performing tasks not related to flying the airplane."

"Then, maybe I'll post it on the Internet."

What could go wrong? Idiots.

I flew into NZQN a couple months back. An already high pucker factor is compounded when your POS Honeywell doesnt have the GNSS approaches VOR/DME ARC minimums left us at 4200' above the field 1nm from the end of the runway and you have to visually circle inside a bowl.

You must be a real pleasure to work with, especially on a long trip.

You should probably stop clicking on the threads on this forum. You're going to have an aneurysm.

Not at all. Just got sick and tired of having to spend Union dues dollars defending guys who did STUPID things in the cockpit, especially in front of FAA ACIs.

And posting your violations of sterile cockpit and usage of non-approved, non-STCed electrical devices in flight on the Internet is just about as STUPID as you can get.

But then again, you can't fix STUPID.
