Management said in October or November no aircraft deliveries for at least the first six months of 2016. After the vote, a somewhat petulant email was sent, stating a much more "conservative approach" to the market would be taken due to the outcome of the vote. So basically, we were never going to grow at the rate management was predicting. They are using the vote as a cheap excuse for slower growth. Demand is not driven by a union. Demand is driven by consumers. I'd look for hiring in the second half of the year.

I used to work at FlexJet back in '98='99 timeframe, on the LR60, prior to getting hired at AA. I just saw this thread and have a few questions that maybe some of you can answer for me, since I have been out of the firing stuff for a while.
Can you give me some details on this "merger"?
What union was voted in?
What are the mins to get hired?
What planes are now in your fleet?
Thanks for the information. I have a son who is just starting the flying process and was trying to get more informed.

IBT is the union. Local 1108 is the only union that represents frac pilots. I've no idea what the mins are. Try looking on the website? We are in the process of SLI right now. No idea when that will conclude. On the Flexjet side we have Lear 40/45s, Legacy 450/500s, Challenger 300/350s, Challenger 604/605s, Globals, and Gulfstreams. The fleet composition seems like it is influx. We are down to five 604/5s, and we have more Legacies coming in the third quarter. We also just put another Global in service. Not sure how many that makes on the large cabin side.

You more or less live where you want, on your first day, the company buys you a ticket out of your base airport to the plane you will be flying for the 8 days at work(or whatever) then on your go home day, they airline you back there.
Yes it is commuting but not in the airline sense and its on company time.
