Sorry not the union's fault. The company acts like they are negotiating but really aren't. Even the federal judge saw through their charade and called them "specious". Not to mention that after negotiating a vsp and shaking hands on it the company then refused to sign it. Please get your facts straight before blaming the Union for everything. KR is a snake oil salesman and no one is safe without representation even if we don't like everything the Union does. He is a master of divide and conquer which is what he is doing now. How did those personal agreements work out for all of the Flex guys? How about no changes? How about you get to keep your own doctor? Oh wait that was Obama ! .

My BS meter just pegged. Management has a signed (by us, the IBT) vsp, LOA (Options) and MOU (Flexjet) in their slimy little paws. They are the ones refusing to sign it. Pull your head out of the sand and do a little research before you blindly post management lies.

AFAIK.....

The carriers are still separate certificates and the Flex side without a doubt needs additional pilots. The FLOPS side is "overstaffed".

The Globals are adding an additional pilot to each airframe soon, so creates a few openings.

Exactly and if management would accept the seniority list AS ORDERED TO by the federal judge and also would finish negotiating the fence agreements then those overstaffed pilots would have a place to go!

No SLI is truly fair, but what was the grievance over this one?
Did the union and company work it together or did the union bring it to the company and say "here you go!"

Flexjet formed a sli committee and so did fo. Then they both worked very hard to come up with a list that was as fair as could be. When KR moved fo pilots over to flex he placed them at the bottom of their list now they have two seniority list numbers. He also made them captains on Gulfstream's and Challenger's thereby buying no votes for the Union vote. The joint committee decided to use longevity with your prospective company in merging the two lists. They also made a provision for those pilots to choose which list they wanted to use. The judge found it to be fair and even stated in his brief that it was surprising that the Flex pilots made out slightly better than the FO pilots. However if the company accepted it it started a 9 month clock towards a joint CBA. After that it goes to arbitration.

I wouldn't be too certain of that. If they are fat on pilots, then they are fat on aircraft also. I just talked to a pilot that was down for two days while maintenance did a mini acceptance check on an aircraft that had been idle for 2 months+. Apparently, it is common to pick up an aircraft with more than a week of time unflown. According to him the line crew in SFO thought the aircraft had been abandoned.

They may be fat on pilots. It might be a demand thing. But, I've talked to a few that think they are short because airplanes aren't flying.

This is all hangar talk, so take it for what it is worth. Fly the line. Head to the lake. Leave it behind.

Default Legacy 450 & 500

What's the word on the Legacy 450/500 so far at Flexjet? Pilots liking it? Pax liking it compared to other fleet types? How many more expected?

I saw one of your 500s recently at MDW - very nice ramp presence!

I see on FlexJet's website what the Captian minimums are, but what about First Officer?
Or are they the same?
Do they accept R-ATP?
Thanks for the help!

FlexJet vs. Airlines?

Best route to FlexJet? College is a must for me. Any out of college deals to FlexJet?

Which airframe/base are new hires getting?

Hotel/rental car paid on overnights?

ATP paid for? No R-ATP?

If aircraft A is given...how can I get to aircraft B?

First Officer to Captain upgrade?

Career progression is quick?
