Default Eagle hiring - Can 250hr PIC inc. PIC/US?

Another question on behalf of my friend who was laid off last week. I've encouraged him to apply to Eagle on the back the encouragement of people on here. However, he only has 120hrs PIC, although he has in excess of 350hrs PIC/US when he was PF from the right seat as an FO on the J31. Do you think Eagle will accept his PiC/US time towards the required 250hrs PiC total?

I'm not quite sure what you are asking (not sure what PIC/US is), but how is he logging right seat FO time as PIC?

just tell your "friend" to stop thinking about it and just APPLY, he'll soon find out! He will not receive any invites regarding hiring if he does not put his resume out there for employers to review! good luck!

Actually my "friend" is a real person who is having a really tough time trying to decide on what to do next and so I'm just trying to help him with his decision. He's a good guy and I don't want to waste his time or give him bad advice or information. He got laid off and I didn't, I feel for the guy and want to help him out.

The regionals are his only real shot in the US otherwise he'll move back home and so I can understand him wanting to get it right first time.

I understand, matter of fact, everyone is having a tough time these days(employed and unemployed) but being down is not the way to new employment. but all is not bad news, several regionals are hiring. You might want to research for your buddy the information about eagle being divested, it might not even the best option for him at this point, but atleast he has options good luck

Thanks for the tip. He's pretty down in the dumps at the moment, with the job he was laid off from being his first airline job etc. The main problem as I see it for him is that he only has 900TT, that would seem to count him out of the likes of Pinnacle etc.

In the UK (where we're both originally from) when acting as pilot flying in a multi crew flight deck, a First Officer can log the flight time as PiC/US if he holds a full type rating (which we both do) and the captain signs his log book at the end of the day.

That may be the case in the UK, but in the US, most airlines consider PIC time as the time that you are in command of the AC. That means he has to sign the aircraft logbook as such.

That being said, tell him to apply and let them decide.
