Damn... That's right up there with QX (probably even better)

Same first year pay as Horizon but smaller planes than Horizon = less demanding pax and 1 less moody FA to deal with. Not to mention an upgrade time at CommutAir that makes Horizon's look like a freaking eternity.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner!!!!!

Match Skywest in pay or no thanks from me. Vote what is best for you and your family.
Ding Ding Ding! Surprised it took 3.5 hours but we have someone complaining that a raise and QOL improvements with absolutely no give backs isn't good enough. Go grab a beer and get laid.

Heck you would still be ahead in pay by year 3 because you could have a chance to upgrade by then. So CommutAir has a chance to have the highest first year pay of any regional and you are still not happy? This is a good step for all regionals.
Yes, and you're likely to be on reserve much longer at SkyWest getting min guarantee and little per diem. I agree with the quick upgrade too. Its good to see a regional being proactive and dealing with the staffing problems by increasing year 1 F.O. pay. I'm surprised CommutaAir is taking the lead here but good for them.

Regarding the Q400 rumor, I believe Republic is taking all 30 of Colgan's old Q's which are already painted in United livery. There are still a few of them parked up in TUS. Seen as the Q400 is made in Toronto and flown all over the world, it shouldn't be a surprise to see a couple out on the forecourt.

I couldn't agree more. I'm thinking the "Open House" that CommutAir has been advertising on climbto350 is going to be packed.

Good for C5 for recognizing the need to up the ante to get more pilots in the door and I couldn't be happier for the pilot group at C5.

Question for you C5 guys, as ballpark from the outside looking in, how long would the upgrade be for someone joining the seniority list this spring?

As it stands right now the most junior captain was hired in January 2012. April upgrade got canceled because of lack of First Officers. That being said if we had plenty of First Officers I could easily see upgrade times drop below 2 years. That's the key, bring in enough first officers and upgrade times drop which will attract more FOs. I think this LOA is a step in the right direction for sure.

Dude man up with the APU thing. Go fly in LGA where you had to be push backed then wait for a GPU to start and them you might have the right to complain about no APU.

Congrats to C5 guys, at least the company did not ask for anything in return, so it is a good thing but the 2nd & 3rd year pay should have been more.
