Why is it not safe? Having 1000 hours of 121 SIC time is way safer than in years past before that requirement. Would you rather go back to 1500 hour captains and 250 hour fo's?

Sure you can, and no it isn't $55/hour.

I was hired in December with about 3200 TT and 2600 Hours on the 145. Didn't get a CQ spot since the mins were 3500 at the time. It looks like if we keep upgrading 15-20 a month I'll see an upgrade around July or Aug. So 7-8 months for me.

So you are saying the Expressjet CQFOs we hired aren't safe? Maybe we need to look into the safety at Expressjet then.....

CQFO was already an upgrade. Already had plenty of hours. 7 month upgrade of a low time guy is the problem..

not for a new hire...but for some one with prior 121. a new hire with no prior 121 still needs to get the time and would take around 2 years.

doesn't matter this topic has been beatin to death... move on.

and first year pay is $61.91 for CA

You can't be a low time guy if you have 1000 hours of 121 SIC time. I linger in hopes of redeeming you.

Until it doesn't. You're probably right. What could possibly go wrong? The bare minimum is usually good enough, right?

If the guy who upgraded is who I'm thinking, he was a former TSA captain.

You have to have 2500 hours and 1000 SIC to upgrade. That's higher than both Mesa and PSA. Additionally, to get 1000 SIC, you need a minimum of almost two years on property. Next time think before you talk. You're making yourself look ridiculous.
