Default Colgan upgrades?

Just curious. Are there any upgrades at Colgan?

What is the upgrade situation? Any street captains with the latest influx of FOs?

Please share.

There are many upgrades coming soon. No more street captains.

What are the internal requirements for upgrade, other than an ATP and seniority? Any additional experience requirements, and did that change after BUF?

Saab is 2500TT and the Q is 3500 (pretty sure). The mins are higher than before but it was never mentioned if it was due solely to 3407.

The dash 8 is actually 3250 now. They will "credit" you 50 hours per month up to your class date. Example is that if you have 3100 hours and are selected for upgrade in the December bid then you couldnt expect a class sooner than March (3 months X 50 hours).

As others said there are a few other caveats such as time with Colgan and time in type but none of our FOs who meet the seniority and TT requirements have any issues with that.

There will be no street captains for this year for sure and likely ever again. For the time being Colgan has plenty of qualified FOs and with the hiring going to higher time guys it will not likely be an issue in the future.

Also, you are required to have at least 1000 "Colgan Time," or time in company aircraft.

As far as upgrades go, they are planning 4 upgrades per month through July. In my opinion, they are going to have to upgrade a larger quantity of FO's each month after that to keep up with the Q400 transitions.

Also, just to reiterate...There is NO plan to hire street captains. Sorry folks.

This is purely my opinion here, but I have to agree with the NO street captains. We have TONS of FOs that I have either flown with and/or know that are ready for upgrade and have the time. If we hire any street CAs anytime soon I will be more than a little upset.

To add to what Laxrox said about upgrading 4 a month through July... although it has not been officially announced by our company, training is going to go through the roof around/after July when the new Q400s actually start coming online ... at least that would be my guess.
