Truly, words of wisdom.

I talked to our LEC last night and I also talked to a flight manager. There are a couple letters coming out from ALPA and one from the company. Sounds like a good news/bad news scenario. The good news for us 17 and 18 year guys who got steam rolled on the ISL and are stuck as Jr. 76T F/Os that we are going to be displaced and we can hold captain everywhere.

That was your cake but don't you dare eat it! The bad news is you ain't going to hold captain for long in Denver. So congrats on getting back to the left seat and I hope you like commuting if you want to keep it. The plan is to displace then offer a vacancy bid then displace ETC. over the next two years. They are NOT planning on replacing airframes one for one in a Denver so you current Jr captains and by that I mean anybody with less than about 4,000 ish seniority. You'd better not get to comfortable. Looks like overall Denver is shrinking. Secondary bumps are forecast.

That's my info, we should have that verified by the end if this week or shortly after.

In true new UAL fashion they are going to make this as miserable for you as possible.

Figure that in true new UAL fashion a commute is now the norm. I reckon it's going to GTE tougher to get the jump seat out of Denver folks!

There might be fewer PS riders between DEN and LAX. Maybe more. DEN IAH seems to be more PS riders than working crew members.

Don't forget the winter we just had in Chicago. One for the books I tell ya.. Feet of snow, down below -25 many many nights. Wow. Certainly not like INL or the U.P. but why would anyone want to commute to and fly out of this ?!?
Save yourselves STAY AWAY !!! AHHHHHHHHH!!

And half the schedule between DEN and LAX are RJ's now. PLUS no late night returns LAX to DEN it can be a major pain in the buttock sometimes. BTDT..

Chicago is definitely the place to go. No two ways about it. Stay away from LAX.

When you head to ORD, you will likely find yourself spending quality time here when staying at the Sheraton 4 Points or Best Western.

Shoeless Joes Ale House & Grille | Sports Bar | Restaurant | Rosemont, IL

There is another joint by the Baymont (Travel Lodge now I think) on the other side of the field. Your wife wouldn't like it much though.

Ahhh. The memories. I always did like the Best Western or Travelodge across the street before they tore it down. You had Shoeless Joe's, a Micky Ds, and that Pine Grove restaurant. What more do ya need? Good times (not really)
