Thanks for the advice everyone - I think right now reserve is not a problem for me, I just want to be hired and see where i go from that point on. Is the company itself doing well under the UsAirways flag? Just wondering. Do any of you know what the most junior base is right now? (Where would I end up?)

There is like 8 years left on it man... plenty of time to get in, get out, and get on with life. Besides AWAC will find something else to do. If you're set on AWAC...come here, its a pretty good place to work!

It is a pretty good place to work, just don't make the mistake of having unrealistic expectations like I did... We would love to have ya though. Good Luck with the interview.

8 yrs left on the USAir contract is not solid enough for you??? Besides, I am sure something else will come up. Sorry to hear AWAC is not up to your standards, but if it is quick upgrade time you're looking for, then I'll suggest you start looking somewhere else. I suggest colgan....

I was awarded a line from the last vacancy, but it does not take effect until July... so still another few months of reserve. However there are still guys senior to me in both PHL and DCA that were not awarded lines.

AWAC is what it is. The best part of this company is the people who work here. We have lots of good pilots and more importantly, really fun, knowledgeable pilots.

The pilot group is the strength of this company. So from that perspective you will have a good time here. Things operationally are tough at the moment, but we lean on each other and even though I had a really, really, really cruddy day yesterday, I ended the last flight laughing all the way to the hotel. After a 15+ hour duty day.

People need to read this quote a few times, then post it on their refrigerator.

And on their bathroom mirror.

And on their car dashboard.

In my interview I was told upgrades were 22 months...and I fully expected my upgrade to be at least double that. Current returns are not indicative of future results...
