Default Newhire Start-to-Finish time?

Asking for a friend:

How long does it take to get online nowadays once hired?

Have there been long delays in getting new hires on the line since last year?

I believe most regionals are experiencing some kind of delay in their training programs the worst of which being Piedmont.

There are guys here who had three weeks off after systems and there are others I know who had almost 2.5 months off after systems before they were called in for CPT and Sims. Of course getting paid your 75 hour/min guarantee, have access to benefits the entire time, and building seniority. I think by the time some were online, they were able to skip reserve and hold a line.

Zero delay at XJT, 60-70 days and your online. You will be online by May at XJT. Tons of growth also, I'm hearing they are starting to get lots of people that have been waiting around at other airlines.

Those boys over at XJT are shoveling that stuff full steam ahead. Recruiters sticking their nose in every single thread.

So if a guy is interviewed/hired at the end of July, shouldn't he be online by now?

Want to fish was talking about his airline, not AW. October classmembers have already hit the line and some will be holding lines at CAE on March 1.

Where are new hires going mostly? Won’t be showing up for class until late summer most likely, still building hours....wondering how long it would take to get CAE.

You can get CAE before you finish training.

From the people I have talked to, they are still getting you into an Indoc class in 1-3 months from date of hire. Basically, whatever fits your life the best. They can get 12-25 person classes through Indoc and Systems fairly efficiently, but Cockpit procedures and Sim is still the choke point. Yes, there is a 2 week to 2 month lag between Systems and Cockpit Procedures. They are already running those sims some 20 hours a day between new hire and recurrent sessions. Many recurrent people are on the 10p-2a time slot just to work around new hires. They only have so many machines, teachers, and hours in the day. Start to finish ... 4-5 months.
