Default Another new checklist disaster

Does anyone read this garbage before they release it? One minute of looking at it and someone can see the checklist doesn’t match the expanded procedures. No wonder new hires can’t make it through training because one document doesn’t match the next and they don’t know what to say or do in the sim.

It’s a simple example of how much is overlooked. We don’t need a checklist for everything. You cant fix stupid.

You do realize that a 'check' on a checklist only verifies critical items, right? A proper checklist doesn't match amplified procedures.

Verbal responses in expanded procedures have always mirrored the expected response on a checklist. You do realize that when things don’t match people get confused, right? No wonder there’s training failures at the level there are. Theres no reason checklists on a 3 decade old airplane to change like they do.

Eat a snickers Nancy. The checklist have changed at least 5 times since I've been here. You'll be ok.

I’m just happy we can start engines on pushback and not transfer controls for the brief. Who cares about checklist verbiage, you’ll memorize it in like 2 days on the line without even trying.

We “can” start an engine 2 minutes early. Who cares? This industry pays by the minute. Apparently there are people out there worried more about when to start an engine or who talks on the radios during descent than a real quality of life improvement. At least the newest TA was sent back before it made it to the pilots.

Maybe it will come with bite sized snickers to be placed in crew rooms from 8:15-9:00 (until supplies last).
