I think all of us under 60 should encourage every single pilot we talk to over the age of 60 to take the deal.

I’m just hoping to see bids actually posted tomorrow on deadline. Then where the re alignments sits us all

Honestly I believe it's more than 15-20. Seems like most of the captains I've flown with over the last month have been in their 60s. All of them super high employee numbers. I'd say it was at least 5 if not 6 different captains.

maybe...it’s a small drop in the bucket, but I guess they are at least looking for some alternatives. I’d like to see some 50 hr surplus lines but doubt we’ll see anything like that.

Why do you want to “see some 50 hr surplus lines” when you’re still going to get paid for 60? I want to see 20 hour lines and get paid for guarantee and stay home until this all passes by. I don’t know your status but if you think you need to build hours to upgrade that ship has sailed for quite some time.

Well, given the circumstances our industry is facing. The bailout again of the US airline industry. It is high time we as a group bring up and have a discussion about the Elephant in the Room. I am talking about all the years the airline industry used the excuse of a pilot shortage to hire Non American Citizens as pilots. Given the possibility of a goo percentage of US pilots hitting the street. It is time we all do our part in protecting American Jobs. That means writing our President and congressmen as well as our Unions. To Fight for the revocation of any NON US Citizen to work I the cockpit when Americans will be losing their jobs. Many companies especially regional airlines have gotten away with using this loophole to keep wages down and diluting our bargaining power. Sorry but NO American should be on the street when there is a Non US citizen working in a job he/she should be holding.
