My guess is we won’t see the results until next week. Contractually they have a week at the close of any vacancy / realignment. Welcome to extended reserve, at least there’s a Dunkin by the ORD crew room.

maybe, but they are scheduled to release June bids on the 7th so that would give them 12 hours from close to release if they actually release the monthly bids on time

Have they been on time once in the last 3 months?

Nope. And I don’t expect June to be any different.

What's on time? Is there an announced opening time posted already?

Apart from the rebid, at the end of last month, each bid has been within the rules of the contract. I think you guys are still expecting the timeline from the last contract. The company still follows the old schedule pretty close but when they don't, it doesn't mean that it's "not on time."

On the top of Mays bid package it shows June opening on the 7th.

Both April and may bids were pulled after being published. They failed to say anything about why or give any notification on both of these till days after the fact. Same thing with this re-alignment bid. They told us it was going to happen on one day and it didn’t happen that day. Not “against the contract” just poor management to not keep employees in the loop.

Ok. Got ya. Missed that. Just checked the contract again and they are supposed to put that in the previous his package. They can change the date for a marketing change but it sure would be nice for them to tell us before the 7th since that's what they committed to. They could possibly get it done with the realignment finishing up but I'm not holding my breath there. I'll be a bit optimistic and just hope that they will announce a new opening date sometime tomorrow. Not holding my breath on that either. They could technically push the whole thing another week and still be in compliance with the rest of the bidding rules.

I'm with you there. I understand that there are times when there is nothing to communicate, but they should let us know when they are going to go right past a deadline that they set. Unfortunately, I can't say I'm that surprised though.
