Anyway, Chinese or of China would be a nationality not a race so lets put the R-word away and get back to the discussion.

Quote me calling him a racist and I’ll eat my shoe live on Instagram tonight at 7.

Sooooo... about that LOA and trying to stay away from furloughs. Wondering if at this current pace of air demand if keeping everyone on property is hopefully possible. Would a lockdown and curfew in place cause enough of an increased change of demand we may fall victim to furloughs. Trying to hear people’s thoughts on THIS subject

I was too lazy to look at who wrote what - apologies. I’m really just bored as anything while the little one is taking a nap and there is nowhere for us to go after he wakes up but to do an aisle check at the store; and I honestly don’t care either way.

I don't know if anyone can answer that right now. The pay reductions definitely hurt the wallet, but at least everyone is keeping their job and benefits for now. As airline employees we are considered essential and the curfew/stay home directives won't apply to us if we are going to work. The low demand is not sustainable for any airline. Hopefully we all pull out of this sooner than later.

Stay healthy and safe everyone!

The world needs to understand that China is consistently the source - and their coverup, lack of cooperation and their misleading government has cost not only thousands of lives but critical time we could have used 3 months ago to fight this. They police exposure to Facebook, but not disgusting wet meat markets that pose a global health threat? I'll let you do your own research. How about that instead of blaming our government? You don't seem to care about those important tidbits. Of course there are shortcoming with our own response. But at some point you have to ask yourself why these deadly viruses continue to spread from China, and hold them accountable, instead of suggesting people are racist for asking the question. The people of China continue to put the global well being at risk by engaging in barbaric and downright grotesque eating habits. Despite their own people becoming infected and dying, these disgusting eating practices will not change - which is stunning. Well, now the chickens have come home to roost, unfortunately. Perhaps they shouldn't be eating bat soup with a side of fried porcupine?

Nailed it!!

Apparently C5 had their schedules cut even worse than us, to the point where their offer was min credit at 50-55 hours or furloughs. Their ALPA reps chose furloughs.

As someone fairly low on the seniority list, an with rent and bills to pay, I really am appreciative to those who took a cut to keep us all on payroll for now. I know it isn't easy for anyone, but it says a lot that we are in this together at ZW.

The virus effects everyone from every country the same. It is a world-wide pandemic, that is threatening everyones well being - both financially and physically.

If you chose to focus on where it originated, stigmatizing the Chinese rather than focus of fighting it, you have to ask yourself why that is being done. In this country, this tactic of constantly tying it china is used to deflect blame on another country rather than take responsibility for our own leaders lack of actions. "I don't take responsibility at all".

We also have a long history of doing this in this country... calling diseases like HIV the "gay plague", and delaying our response to it until millions were dead. I don't fall into that group, so whatever!

It's covid-19, it's coming after your jobs and your health. That's the focus. Focus on anything else or deflect attention elsewhere and you're a moron.
The last three of these flu’s came from China sweetheart. Guess what? Scientists all believe they started from consuming bats or other creatures from the wet markets.

Thats “science based” facts. Our leader has no control over China’s wet markets or control over the media over there (cover ups).

China insisted the WHO change the name of the flu to Covid-19 to deflect blame from them. It originated in Wuhan, China, that’s a fact. The last two originated in China and are likely from bats.

You see a trend here?

That’s crazy. I bet they have a change of heart soon.
