he had me wondering for a minute, you will always get paid 75 but if your worked trips plus vacation pay don’t equal 75 and you pick up you might not get anything extra. IE, your worked trips and vacation pay equal 60 hours, you will receive 75. If you pick up 10 hours at time and a half you will still be paid 75 hours. Unless I am misunderstanding.

this was confirmed by the head of payroll when I spoke to her directly. Show me in the contract why you think I’m wrong.

Section 4. Paragraph B. “... but shall not include a pilot who is on vacation.”

If you didn’t request to drop anything, and whatever was dropped off your schedule was solely for contractual vacation, but you still didn’t receive 75 hours, then file pay discrepancy with supporting contract language. If they still say no, talk to ALPA reps and file a grievance.

If you have a primary vacation and you only work two four-day trips for a total block of 35 hours for the month, but pick up a trip worth 10 hours, then you’ll be paid 90 hours for the month. 75 guarantee + 10 @ 150% = 90 hours pay. In the past, I worked 12 days in a month and made 140+ hours because I was only scheduled to work four due to primary vacation and the other eight were at 200%

OK, let's see it. Either there's an additional factor beyond vacation impacting your pay that you don't realize, or you're being dishonest. Either way what you're saying is wrong.

all right, full disclosure, I was given that rationale by a union rep, and turns out I was wrong. I’m big enough to admit I was wrong after looking at my pay stub just now.
