Air Wisconsin Needs Pilots!!!
I am just finishing my last day of Indoc with AWAC. We need pilots!!! Everyone is encouraged to apply. They basically told us that they have no minimums right now and they need help. Having any kind of jet time would be beneficial. The training is tough, but very thurough. Im sure u guys know about the interview up in Appleton. Trust me....its well worth the drive from MKE and the Sim Prep. Reserve time is low and captain upgrades times are dropping. Please help us out!

That's great to hear! I actually have friend who's an FO there submit my resume to HR the other day. He then called them on the phone and they said theyd call me in the next couple of days. This was on Wed. and I hear that they run interviews on Tues. and Thurs. so they probably were busy yesterday. I am hoping to get the call today. I have just under 500TT and 110 ME so I am really hoping that they invite my for the interview. They truly seem like an awesome airline with a great contract! I will let you know if they call! Thanks for the heads up!!!-Matt

Reserve time may be dropping... but we still have people that have been here one year on reserve. Upgrade time is just over 3 years right now. Good luck on the rest of your training man... but I know people that read these boards where a post like this would get their hopes up. I've reccomended someone that I know who is on these boards, he has been waiting about a month for a call, and he is more than qualified.
Great place to be... but not a short sit on RSV, or quick upgrade by any means.

Funny that with my 1700tt and 450 me, plus turboprop experience, they sent me an F-U letter b/c I've only been instructing part time these last few months and don't have a mess of recent time. They must not need pilots that bad.

I didn't even get an interview. Sent the resume in online and showed up at ATL. Handed over the resume, answered the basic questions. Told them my recent history and that I wouldn't be available until July b/c my wife was pregnant and due in June(wasn't surprise that they might not interview on the spot, was surprised to get an F-U letter). That's all the further it went. I thought my initial impression went well.
I'm not ****ed, I got a job with another operator that I am more than happy with(since they are now opening a PHL base, which was my prime reason for looking at AWAC). I'm just saying that they aren't nearly as desperate as some people make them sound.

cbire880, the person they have put in charge of hiring pilots has had absolutely ZERO experience doing so. I wouldn't give it a second thought. Honestly I partly think they are looking for lower time people so that they will stay longer vs. a high time guy coming in and leaving in 6 months for Netjets.

For everyone who says reserve is long here at AWAC, I just finished OE along with the guys in my class. I am in Norfolk, and the rest are in Philly. They have already been awarded a line in September. That is 2 months on reserve. How much shorter can you get? Reserve times are dropping, and we are going to be getting used a lot. We are getting really short on pilots. The people that are still on reserve for a year, are either in Norfolk , or the are bidding reserve. Just my 2 cents.

Chances are very good for airline pilots that make a career of flying to also have:
More than one airline uniform in the closet.
Go through a merger or buyout.
Be affected by a corporate bankruptcy.
Despite being turned down, we still like you Glad to hear it worked out for you.
