Hey, not sure if you got my PM but how's training going? You heading to the SIM after the holidays? I'm waiting on a Feb class date...the training dept really working well with you guys?! I've heard they're awesome.

We are hiring now continuously through the summer. I believe the latest new hires (as of Dec 13) went to DC and Philly. Honestly, you should be able to get whatever base you want within a few months. The most junior lineholders are in Norfolk and then Philly. Don't expect to hold a line in LGA anytime soon.
Philly trips for the most part are early shows/finishes or later shows/finishes. I believe most of the lines are commutable on one side. Mostly 3 or 4 day trips. Hope this helps.
**I am not based in PHL so feel free to correct me on any of this info.**

same goes for the class behind us, the go back to ATW to finish up systems.
in the class of 12, 6 of us got PHL the rest got ORF and 1 got DCA, it will probably switch again when another bid comes out.
PHL and DCA we are told are the easiest to commute from, RDU and ORF is way more difficult. LGA won't be an issue since new hires rarely go there.
reserve is about 2-4 months, I won't be surprised if I'm awarded a line by the time I'm done with the sim.

Sounds great...HR told me they hoped to have firm February training dates next week. I'm ready to get started. I'm hoping for DCA or PHL..commuting out of ATL will give me a lot of options.
Any advice for someone who hasn't had really any time in a level D sim? I figured after studying hard and passing Indoc and systems, knowing the flows and using CPT to get yourself ready would be best?!

The sim is quite pitch sensitive, way moreso than the actual aircraft. Take your time (no need to fly fast) and don't rush for ANYTHING, especially running a checklist as you might rush into the wrong one.
AWAC has historically had good training, so good luck!
