Not free is correct. I have only myself on my plan and pay $50/year. It is undoubtedly more if you have more people. Still a helluva deal. And you can jumpseat for free on any carrier AWAC has a CASS agreement with, which is pretty much everyone.

I travel all over the US and to Europe several times per year and pay next to nothing. Try getting that in any other job.

As to hiring for this year I have heard 10-15 per month until summer and then as needs require based on attrition and flying given to AWAC by US Airways.

Does the yearly pass amount come out of one check, or is it spread throughout the year? Also, any reason you pay for yourself, when you can jumpseat for free?

So you pay whatever you pay annually for you and your significant other and you both can travel on standby on US Airways domestic and international without limitations right?

Do you have to pay taxes as you do with buddy passes?

And what about flying in the premium cabins? Will you be able to travel to Europe in business class?

Thanks!

If you're not married and use a guest or domestic partner you pay a tax for them. Parents pay $25 each way and a tax or $70 each way to Hawaii/Europe. International travel upgrade are $100, valid for 3 years and refundable within a year if not used. $20 for upgrading domestic, valid 3 years, non refundable.

For myself I listed my girlfriend, my mother and her husband (merry x-mas mom) and the current annual fee is $205. Its unlimited standby on US Air for the year for them and obviously myself. If I had kids I could put them on there for the same price. If its just you plus 1...kid, girlfriend, wife, sex slave, or parent its currently $120 for the year.

So you have to pay the 205 up front, or is it spread throughout the year?

It's spread out over several paychecks. I forget the exact amount, but it's something like $20 per pay period until you've paid the complete fee.
