Just speaking for my case... I was on reserve for 2 weeks (ORF based). That was in the May/June timeframe. I have been a line holder for 5 months now, the senior guys in my class will get a line from this last bid in DCA and guys in my class in PHL are still going to be 5 from holding a line. Don't really know anything about LGA.

As far as Airport Reserve goes, I intentionally bid that for a month and it worked out great, I'm thinking of bidding it every 3rd or 4th month just to give me more time with the family (home 90% plus of the nights). Of course, if you commute, it may not be the best choice for you....

Screw that I love it. Sleep through most of it, watch movies, go home every night, credit 85-90 hours and fly maybe 20.

I can see it both ways! I think I'd like it if I lived in base. But I know friends that live in base and still can't stand it. To each his own I guess.

I'd just load up the ipad and watch movies all day. What's the pay for sitting Airport reserve???

Oh Buck Nasty, yes we are capped but I'm sure nobody will ever see that cap over the next 6-8 years. So like most regionals nothing wrong with riding the Piedmont Wave while it last. Every regional in history has its cycle and Piedmont has been waiting a long time to catch this breezy wave. Don't hate

Upgrade just dropped to 1 year. So 2nd year pay if you can get through upgrade is not a bad option. 4-5 year upgrade or 1 year with a job waiting for you at American if you want that??? The choice is yours for sure.

This is called rationalizing, and it has the unintended consequence of putting downward pressure on wages industry wide.

Call it what you want but if it gets anyone out of the regionals faster then so be it. Like I said we all have a choice, and it seems while AWAC is having a hard time finding anyone Piedmont has started getting very selective. Everyone has there reason for selecting a Regional and I can tell you that a 4-5 year upgrade won't be one of them.

Is what it is.
