I've done ready for about 8 months. I fly about 15-20 hours a month, credit 90 consistently, occasionally have overnights. They seem to use the fo's more. This week I flew 0 and at 78 credit so far.

Sitting ready also varies where you are. In PHL I know they use people more so for trips and overnights. In ORF, expect a lot of one day repo/ferry/MX flights.

How many nights away from home each month?

If you did normal reserve I assume you would fly a little more but hang out at the airport less?

I'm new here so take it easy

And breaking bad the one month.

To the other guy, I get 12 off a month. 5 on 4 off sometimes, 4 on 3 off other times, and then 5 on 3 off as well. It's really ideal if you live in base or don't feel like getting abused on reserve, or just purely lazy.

Also, not sure if this is done other places, but we bid for lines of reserve just like a scheduled line of flying. Your schedule is your schedule. No company moving days, and none of this golden day off BS

It probably depends on base, but in ORF I did one overnight last month on airport reserve. Out of 18 days I only flew 8, with all but one flight being a repo/ferry. That equals working 8 out of 18 days and then the rest just driving to the airport, sleeping, waking up, drinking coffee and going home to eat lunch. Not gonna lie, kinda liked it. The FOs seemed to get used quite a bit more that month though.

Yet another Vacancy Notice with 0 CA's. It's really getting old.

I know a couple months ago a lot of CA's were getting PS commutes and a lot of Jr Manning going on. I heard they claim they are short CA's, but supposedly don't have enough FO's so they can't run upgrades.
