Shouldn't you be working for your guaranteed job by now

Unfortunately yes. The flow has actually caused a ton of movement and after being a bottom line holder forever it's nice to bid at the top and get all these weekends off.

Crap it is a AWAC thread. I did see a AWAC plane painted in the new American Eagle Colors!!! Looks nice! Has a PSA crew accidently gone into it thinking it's their plane?

In some bases this goes senior. Pilots who bid this are home most nights and can easily credit 100+ hours in a month.

Yes! If I lived in base you could sign me up for that! That's not bad at all for people that live in base. It's all about nights in your bed and pay credit.

How many actual flight hours do they get though?

Ready Reserve sounds like a pretty good deal. I live 25 mins from PHL, and love day trips. It's just that the ready reserves don't fly much, and I need as much PIC time as I can get since the future of AWAC is cloudy at best. How does the pay work for Ready RSV? It's the total of the your duty time or something?

Readys don't sit too much anymore. Don't expect only day trips it's not uncommon to get assigned a 3 or 4 day when on ready just because they are short on short call rsv.

Ready pays better then normal short call reserve I credited about 90 the month a sat ready, never broke guarantee on short call.

5 on 3 off, 8 hour sits at the airport, 4 hours credit per day min. Which basically means of you ever do any duty outside of your 8 hour shift your getting paid extra.

It's not a bad deal if you live in base

I've done ready for about 8 months. I fly about 15-20 hours a month, credit 90 consistently, occasionally have overnights. They seem to use the fo's more. This week I flew 0 and at 78 credit so far.

Sitting ready also varies where you are. In PHL I know they use people more so for trips and overnights. In ORF, expect a lot of one day repo/ferry/MX flights.
