I agree with the other poster who said AWAC will most likely be gobbled up and merged with PSA or operated as a WO if AA needs them. At this point pilots are too valuable to just up and dissolve companies.

Serious question, when was the last time something positive happened to the AWAC pilot group?
I have to reach back and say 9/11/01. That was the day the industry leading contract was signed, which lasted for <2 years.

Normally I would swat this one down, but I haven't taught a ground school since FEB so I don't know what they are saying...although something that major I doubt would be put out in a new hire class first before being announced to the current employees.
It's more likely someone misheard the answer to a hypothetical question or scenario.
I will say that the rumor that people are not showing up for INDOC is not true...although the truth is not much better.
We end up pushing classes back due to scheduling issues with candidates and the like...so we don't have classes with new hire paper work on the table and the instructor standing there in an empty room.
The classes either get delayed or don't go forward is my understanding based on the class lists I receive.
