Meanwhile, recruiting has really stepped up their efforts to fill the seats by offering a bonus to newhires to compete with other carriers. What bonus, you ask? Simply get a buddy to refer you and see if he'll pass you his referral bonus. Pick up a gift card at the interview and boom, $4100

All four people in the previously "cancelled" class showed up yesterday for the rescheduled indoc class. Two of them were CTP candidates that obviously had requirements to complete.

Don't mean to get someone in HR. in Appleton their undies in a bunch, but why when they are having issues filling new hire classes, getting only low time folks, they still will not rehire former proven pilot's! Go figure.

AFAIK, they own 30 and lease the rest.

I could be wrong. But I think ZW owns MOST (if not all) of their fleet. That's why they're flying around old CRJs.... cause they own all of them. I think.

More than certain that Awac owns all its airplanes.

So, being that they own their planes and that there are pilots to fly them its hard to say that they will disappear come 2018 when their contract is up? Right?

I mean, now that pilots have become more valuable that taken together with airplanes = some business beyond 2018 I would think. Why would any airline just let that value go?
