Reducing the fleet IS the plan IMO. AWAC is in business to make money obviously, and with the ever worsening shortage at the regionals, parking airplanes is probably their best option. For the pilots, it's not the move we all want in terms of taking on new airplanes and grow. Unfortunately the owners don't care about our feelings and only care about the bottom line.

If we were to get new planes (brand new, new to us..) it's not going to happen overnight unless they are 200's. That being said. How do we staff these planes. Just because we have "new planes" doesn't mean people will all of a sudden start showing up to class. So how does the dynamic change here at AWAC. Will upgrade time reduce if people start coming here to chase a quick upgrade if new airframes come on property. Is it worth it to stay her to be on the front end of a hypothetical wave or get out and chase a quick upgrade somewhere else if one doesn't have much time invested here yet.
Qol speaks for something but pic makes a good argument as well.

Looks like somebody has an agenda to try and spin the crappy ZW situation into a positive, rumor fueled, hope and change pipe dream? This guy must be a management stooge or lawyer that thinks Pilots are stupid...... Pilots leaving, Planes leaving, upper management leaving, old fleet with the highest crew cost in the industry, other RJ operators offering massive signing bonuses to fly new aircraft with much faster upgrades etc, Yeah, your rumors are going to convince a lot of Pilots to stay right? What a joke........

Or has enough understanding of the history of ZW. Everything is silent and rumors very few until the minute a big announcement is made. That's the way the company wants it and they are willing to take it on the chin with regards to recruiting and manning in the mean time. It's up to the individual prospective pilot to decide if that's worth the hassle.

No I didn't notice...of course I forgot to bid and only looked at the bid power portion of the pack....where did you see the A/C type? That is usually only seen in the permanent bid section.
