You didn't get to AA based on Merit. You got lucky in a game that's all a crap shoot. I enjoy our banter back and forth but at the end of the day your troll level is boardline depressing.

What do the five fingers say to the face?? Wapppaa
What exactly counts as "merit"? Passing an interview? Does a decade flying said companies pax around in an arguably more difficult acft(dash vs airbus) under more challening conditions and reduced QoL not warrant merit?

I can think of hundreds of guys/gals right now that have not only earned their place at a mainline but also deserve it. Unfortunately they have not been selected by a mainline computer vetting system yet and even given a chance to interview.

If it ain't Buck Nasty. Buck Nasty should know, "Don't hate da playa, hate the game."
Yes my base closed and yes I was blessed with a Job at American. I'm very appreciated of it each day. Commuting sucks but it is what it is. Don't worry I'm sure the long list of Flows coming thru could give a rats a$$ how they got the job right?

Pagey, I think if I had to keep updating resumes, practice for interviews, and maybe gone thru a few rejection letters I'd be kinda of mad also seeing flows go straight to American with only having to pee in a cup.
Add that and the fact that if my airline was shrinking with a chance of going under I'd have a bunch of anger and rage watching flows just being handed a job.

I personally wouldn't call it merit if:
1 You didn't get selected for an interview naturally.
2 failed the interview after receiving the SSP
3 flowed anyway through a union sweetheart deal
4 get angry when the flow classes defer or slow down, because it "your job" and "your losing seniority"

What the hell is my point? Relax there buddy! My point is AWAC has great pilots who deserve a shot at AA but can't get one because of flow. You should consider yourself lucky, becuse with out AA & USAirways merger you would still be flying a Dash.

AA will suffer the rath of their fabulous "flow" program in the years to come. They have almost zero control over who is coming to the school house. So they will only get ****ier as a whole in the future. Bringing in all the spineless envoy capts, immature psa f...s, and the piedmont folks who have beaten into submission. Good luck with that boys. AA will only go further down the perverbial glory tube. I for one wouldn't work there if I had too. Haven't even applied. I've saw enough of the glorious operation know as AA/airways in the past few years to know I'd never want to work for them. They are the spirit of the majors. I'll hold out for better.

After spending ample amounts of time on PSA jumpseats and much time amongst them in flight safety CVG, I no longer update my AA app. Not that it would get me hired anyway.

Oh the stuff I've heard and seen. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the rides and I am sure that its not everybody as a whole.... but man it sure does seem you guys are attracting the junior varsity team in terms of new hires.

At least I'm not the only un-blind sole.

Relax? lol, I was trying to figure out what you were talking about. You do know Piedmont is parking Dash's and going to an All Jet fleet right? The flow is only in place to help feed the WO's for pilots. Talking to many of my friends it seems to be working pretty well. As Piedmont is filling classes and actually a good % of new hires are AWAC peeps.
Those great AWAC people you speak of will get hired at the other 3 Legacy carriers or if American is high on there list they can go to one of the WO's for a quick upgrade and a guaranteed job at American.
As for lucky. Hmmmm, I guess AirTran people are lucky (SouthWest). I guess America West Pilots..the airline that everyone went to if they didn't get hired at Delta, United, or Airways should now feel lucky they work for the worlds largest airline.
It is what it is. Do I feel lucky? Hell no. Fortunate is more like it because I avoided the road of all the furloughs and pay cuts in the late 2000's. Lucky I don't feel that way at all.
