If you study hard, I mean really study not just memorize things you'll be fine. Listen to the instructors and ask questions. The INDOC and SIM instructors will go out of their way to prepare you. If all else fails having a good attitude will go a long way.

Helllo everyone. My class date is coming up in a few weeks. I need to confirm with the recruiter but haven't heard back from him as yet. I'm excited to start training. Can someone please explain me any information about the hotel and what training is like. Information such as how do we get food while in Appleton? Do we get any discounts anywhere in the hotel?. Laundry where do we do it?. What are the classes like?
Thank you in advance

I'll post what I said last time about ATW, the hotel, and training:
New Hires are lodged in the Radisson downtown...same place visiting NFL teams stay when playing Green Bay. Laundry on-site, gym, pool, five eateries including a high-end steakhouse, Jimmy Buffet-style tiki bar, sports bar, standard hotel dining, and coffee shop. Just out the door are numerous, bars, restaurants, pizzerias, sandwich shops, etc and a Walgreens within summertime walking distance. The YMCA is three blocks away plus the hotel is a block from the river and lots of trails.
The hotel will take you on food runs to grocery stores, try to get them to go to Woodman's if possible...they have the best prices. You will have a mini-fridge and microwave in your room.
You are there for a month (2 weeks Indoc, 2 weeks systems) and have the weekends to yourself so there will be time and variety...you will not be at some hotel near the airport with a Hardees and a gas station as the only options. There are two colleges in ATW that are nearby so lots of vibrancy but as someone said above...don't be stupid when out and about.
BUT...you are there to study and most trainees spend their time in group study at the hotel, which sets aside private areas for this.
As for sim...you won't learn your sim time until systems...you'll get about 5 days of CPT and then at least 10 sim sessions including the checkride...sims are scheduled 8 hours a day including pre and post briefs...your instructors will explain the correct details...but that's usually what you can expect.

Edit: I did a "simple search" and didn't really find anything, and most certainly not anything as detailed as FODhopper's response.
