I've been hearing that the FAA is getting a little hinky about PSA pilots operating three different airframes, sometimes all in the same day. So that, combined with the fact that hiring at PSA has slowed to a trickle, seems to bolster the idea that transferring the 200s to Air Willy (and taking more 900s) makes sense. I think we'll also again see the transfer of envoy 700s slow to a point predicated on PSA's ability to staff them.
But that all seems to make sense,........ so obviously it won't happen.

Well I think we will still do some 200 flying. All of our March flying beginning out of ORD is supposed to be 200 flying. But, the FAA has already tried to impose some sort of 200 7/900 fence at PSA and it didn't happen. As for the 700s, those will likely come at a slower rate if we can't staff them right away. However, AAG has made it widely known that they don't want Envoy operating different manufacturer types. Each regional operates one type.
And just to stir the pot, I've heard some wild rumors about PSA offering you Whiskey pilots some sort of first year pay commiserate with the pay scale you are at now if you come over to PSA. I have no clue how our union would deal with that one, but I have heard it.

Which is essentially what the original Airways contract called for. There has to be a couple extra airframes to cycle through heavy check, long-term OOS, and the seemingly mythical operational spares. Nature of the Beast...

Maybe it's the PSA 200's that have that -704 computer in them. I can't imagine them transferring a/c, especially as PDT is winding up its erj145 program. I guess maybe it's that we have the pilots right here, right now.

Yes I seriously doubt Parker will transfer airplanes to AWAC from PSA. If he was going to do that he'd push for extending the contract.

In part I agree. I imagine there would certainly need to be some new literature signed before anything was "transfered". I was under the impression that AWAC buys/leases it's own aircraft only. Maybe some 200s would be bought by AWAC after American pays them to operate more than 67 planes (new contract). Which I would certainly welcome as opposed to being at the mercy of AA anytime they want to move airplanes to the lowest bidder. But I digress..

I'm in awe of this forum. We have so many industry insiders with such wealth of knowledge. They push buttons, jerk throttles and get punked by management yet speak like they just walked out the board room with their pimp cane 😂

I just wanted to mention PDT to see how long it would take BillHo to chime in
