Here comes that hedging language again. Im junior manned very rarely. They call it an extension or a reroute and they do it every day. Every. Single. Day. And because its called an extension it doesnt count as a qualifying event. So my 4 day trips become 6 day trips without any junior manning.

There is no reason anyone should let AWAC get away with working them like dogs. Everyone else has more to offer. AWAC is the Kirstie Alley of the regional airline world!
I remember early 2000's when I was living in Colorado. Air Wisconsin was the regional I wanted to go to. Then they pulled out of the United flying and went east. I ended up going to Mesaba as I'm from the Midwest. Two very good companies back in the day. Mesaba's been gone joe several years now. And from what I'm reading it seems Air Wisconsin is also heading that direction. So sad that the good ones are being phased out. I hope you all have a merry Christmas in spite of it. And hope you all find what you're looking for in 2017

That's when you stand up and tell them you're not doing it unless they say on a recorded line it is a junior man and you won't sign the release until you see QEE on your schedule.

Pretty sure it's a junior man if you lose a day off.

Yeah, I believe an extension is when you go 2 hours beyond your scheduled release time or something of the like. Not sure how that works on reserve though. However, if you work on an off day, it counts as a junior man.

I know you guys are right but its like hitting my head against a brick wall. I went back and forth with them for a while about it and after I asked if this was a junior man for the tenth time they gave a defeated sigh and said yes. Then they sent an acars thanking me for accepting the extension.

That's what a grievance is for. If you hit the limit say no and go home.

Btw is there any speculation that AWAC will replace XJT 50 seat feed for Delta? Seems like they're loseing them right when y'all will have some becoming available.

Not trying to sing praises but that 50 seat flying is going to endeavor. It's no secret either. Atl or rdu base has all been but announced; announcment speculated before spring. Our CEO announced the planes in his holiday video to the company. Sorry to burst any ones bubbles

Yeah it was always a good laugh when Every now and again I would hear that dumb rumor of AWAC still being "in talks with Delta".
