Internal Chief Pilot email update. Yes mins are now 2,000 total fixed wing and high school diploma. Preference given to 1,000TPIC and college degree. For military it's 2,000 total or 1,200 in high performance military aircraft. For rotor wing guys, 50% of rotor time can count towards 1,000 hrs for the mins.

Window opens Nov 13-23rd, all hiring done by Alaska now. First joint Indoc in Seattle starts Jan 22, 2018.

Only people that I know that gotr calls with less had higher Graduate GPA that averaged out.

I figured that would be the case.

Practically speaking, nobody's getting hired with 2000 *and* no degree. You might get hired with 2000 if it's mil or you have something that really makes you stand out.

In order to get hired without a degree you'll need significant aviation credentials, which in the civilian world means flight time.

More like LAX.

I am as excited as anyone about lower minimums, but is there any indication that what is competitive is going to be any less? I have less than a 3.0 GPA but 4,000 plus hours and a significant amount of TPIC. Just curious if there is any word on the street. Thanks.

Alaska does not care about GPA. Only United and Delta.

Ok, maybe that was old info. Thanks for that.
