Brown and blue looks good, but unlike black there is tons of variability in brown shoes. If they can't effectively enforce the hats I'm sure there will be a hodgepodge of shades and hues of brown in addition to varying amounts of sole flare. Will prevent the uniform from being uniform (and also look tacky when mis-matched with the leather jacket).

But the question we should all be asking is why does fashion have a single thing to do with it in the first place?? We are not models, we are there to fly the airplane (after walking around on the ramp on ice and snow and deice fluid and water, etc). Why do we have to make some kind of statement based on how we're dressed, can't we just wear a classic, muted, uniform that has some stripes somewhere and options for everyone in every climate? That runway show was the most pants-on-head retarded thing I've ever seen - we aren't here for a photoshoot, we are here to wear the same thing every day and DO OUR JOB!

What better way to pay tribute to the VX culture than implementing a Hat & Tie! I sure hope all VX crews and many AS crews demand better! This is by far a step back from the current redwood uniform, but that seems to be the new standard.
