Default Having just read BM's email...

...he and Brad should write a book. Call it, "How To Destroy a Highly Profitable Airline in 5 Easy Steps."

I have made it a point to never read anything from BM. I delete them right away.

Did he actually have anything to say that was useful and informative?

I don’t read anything from him as I have zero respect. The delete button is your friend. Let me guess—the sky is falling? One can have all the money in the world but what’s life without morals, soul, and family & friends. My momma used to say that the scariest people are ones who’ll do anything for $$$.

He was talking about how we will post our first loss since 2009, while mentioning ancillary revenue and “empowering” the worker bees. What a f-ing joke. I swear that guy just loves to hear himself talk and views himself as an inspiration.

What caught my attention was that he said we will lose money because of increased competition and higher costs. He doesn't mention the fact that we are in the middle of a merger and how those costs are huge. When they had their big meeting a month ago or so they blamed it on that. I'm confused as to why we're losing money now.. Just like I'm confused about our long term plan to "win the west".

At this point, if Delta were to buy AS, the required downsizing of SEA would be very painful to quite a few.

AA?...SW?...JetBlue?...for another love match, shoot even UA...DL is out though. Hiring on the Virgin side has stopped, and correct me if I am wrong but the total number of new hires on the Alaska side has been reduced for the year, correct?
