I find it absurd that one proposal has a pilot who was hired at vx more then 3 years after I was hired at AK more then 1000 numbers senior to me. We worked together previously and were hired in the same class at that airline. Same age. This would put him at a 1992 hire status.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda. Longevity is water under the bridge, hope you had fun and saved some money because that's all its worth.

I passed on CAL years ago due to geography. Had I known better, by 2015 I would have a been a UAL CA in SOCAL instead of a SKW CA in SOCAL. Hindsight is 20/20, but no point in losing sleep over it.

Also wish I had done like my buddy who bought $5k worth of Microsoft in 1989 (he retired by age 30).

And that there is the difference between a mature adult and a child.

You obviously come from the camp where you believe that those who are "loudest" and hurl the most insults win the argument. For some of us, we can be just as nasty, but if one is secure in themselves, then that ain't necessary.

My bottom line assertion is that many VX pilots at VX pay rates and Scheduling rules had similar or better W2s and MUCH better quality of life than what we are/will experience under AS's current contract. That is a fact.

That claim really got under your skin and that sent you off the deep end. Lol

I have rebutted many of your claims in my posts but you in your obviously emotional and agitated state, have not been able to wrap your head around it. Apparently rebuttal for you means that someone has to be just as douchy back to you. I don't agree.

For the VX guys who say they are upset by what Work4Life pounds away on his keyboard in his basement, don't be... He's just a keyboard warrior. Lol

You know what you bring to the table and you should realize that he's just a person who's having an online emotional melt down.

It's about being happy where you work. I don't expect some of you to get it, but some guys are just tired of getting put through the airline meat grinder and enjoy where they are. It's what I said in my interview at VX as well. To see douchebags like Work4life drag VXers through the mud is infuriating. It's almost as if AK folks walk on water while VXers should thank their lucky stars to be on campus now......but nevermind the fact that AK isn't exactly a place that attracts the "cream of the crop."

FWIW, I applied at VX and the legacies, but did not consider AK at all.

Honest question: I read in another thread that you have just recently been hired by another airline. Would you have stayed at VX had AS not acquired them or were you alway intending VX as a stepping stone?

I’d also like to add that we’ve just had two F.O.’s pass away in the last two weeks. I’m sure their families would give anything to have them back and they would be happy to have their names appear anywhere on the new AS seniority list. I suggest that we all stop viewing each other as “the evil other side” and realize there is a human story behind every one of us. We’ve all made our decisions and ended up where we are. We all have our own back story. We’re fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, sons and daughters. We’re all accomplished aviators. We all have our own subjective opinions about this whole thing but love it or hate it, we’re all in it together. I stand to lose seniority in both proposals but will not spend endless amounts of energy holding a grudge against someone that had no say in the matter. Take stock in what really matters. This is a job and as they say, “work to live, don’t live to work”.

But then goes on to say

You have to admit that there are some VX clowns on here who can't make a case to win an argument and then resort to name calling
This SH!T just makes me laugh! :):)

When I was separating from the military
This explains your lack of airline knowledge a little bit.

Max Thrust has made - what - 16 comments in ten years on the board? But your over the top comments directed at others lured him out of lurkerdom to make one short minimally sarcastic comment about you, and the above is your response?

I think a little introspection might be in order.

Excellent post. Stop the infighting guys. It just isn’t worth it. Like it or not, we are all on the same side now. Let’s stay united and focused on what really matters, 2020 and SCOPE. I know the SLI is going to be emotional, they always are, this is my second one. They aren’t fun.

RIP to our 2 brothers we lost recently, very sad.

Cheers

Infighting? Far too many VX pilots on this board only know how to cast stones like wild monkeys and are unable to formulate a case for their argument. Fortunately, I believe they are the minority of the VX pilot group. I know that I'm sarcastic at times but my comments have substance unlike those of whom suffer from inferiority complex, who's only recourse is to lash out like a 3 year old. I find it funny how these mentally challenged folks with small minds are so quick to turn the table and post condescending and juvenile posts . Truth hurts but men deal with it and children run from it. A member on here referred to some of the VX pilots as "undesirables". Now I see why.
It's been fun but some of you just don't want to get it. Remember, it's a choice to be ignorant but I also understand that some of you do not posses the mental capacity to be able to process information that is written in plain English. One more thing. One of you made a comment about my military background. I can confidently tell you that I've experienced and done more in my little over a decade in the service than you'll most likely ever see and do in your miserable life. Hope you've enjoyed your hip, cool, and fun now-acquired airline. Inferiority complex....yeah, many of you have it!
