The next one is PDX. Followed by a bay area Boeing base. Been in the works for awhile.

So they say....Too close to SEA, too small a city with out much industry. Better suited to pass thru flying on Airbus/Boeing and E-175 origination flying. That was the plan anyway before the abandonment of California. We shall see.

To be accurate. The AS CA seat protections which provide for preserving the AS to VX ratio of CA's is only valid if the total number of CA's is equal to or less than the total at the implementation date. So long as the total number of CA's exceeds the total #at implementation, the AS proposal (ratio preservation)does not protect the 137 VX CA's who are pushed below the stovepipe CA line on the AS list.

Mgmt has also ceded their intent to return an airbus when the lease terminates next year while taking more Boeings.
With shifting bases and a static bus fleet the odds are the AS proposal exposes MANY VX CA's to a loss of seat with a decision favoring the AS list and "condition and restriction."

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

SLI award is mid October. Not too much longer and we'll all know what's what.
