I guess you could make that argument, but I don't know who would take you seriously. The stock price is down 40% from a wild peak at the end of 2016. But looking at the last 10 years, I'm seeing a return of about 1090%, which beats everybody except UAL by a hefty margin.

This is why I say airline pilots are idiots. They think the company revolves around them. Of course management does what's best for profitability. That's their job, and their duty to shareholders.

There’s two types of profitability models.... both are for shareholders. Herb Kelleher..... and Frank Lorenzo.
BOTH made lots of money for their shareholders and got very rich themselves in the process. You can both take care of employees AND make shareholders a tidy sum. It’s not a binary choice.

Investors don’t care about 10 years ago. When you lose 40% of their money “today”? - that’s what they care about. Add to to fact that there’s not really a plan to get that money back? Yeah, I think that something that’s taken seriously. Listen to the earnings calls and then dance around the investors questions.

It was like a bad time share proposal....but all the sell without the reward.

I got that call! I would tell them I have thousands of hrs as 737 PIC and I never applied nor would I at this point to Horizon. They kept telling me how great of a company it was and how I could get preferential hiring with AS if I went there. It was clear I wasn't being offered an interview with AS and thanked them for the call and politely declined.
I still get emails asking to update my application with AS. I'm assuming so I can be offered an interview with Horizon once again.
At the time I lived in Seattle and really wanted to work for AS. Never got the chance so I moved on. I wish all you guys luck and hopefully you can make it a place people will be happy at.

Delta honored the flow for those NWA told we’re going to flow. They were not under a legal obligation to do so.

I got an email asking me to confirm my presence at an interview with Alaska two days later. Assuming I had missed a prior email, I inquired about later interview dates, but said I could make it if it couldn’t be moved. The next day, I jumped on an airplane to Seattle and when I landed, received an email stating that confirmation had been sent to the wrong person with my first name. Awesome sauce.

That used to be Hawaiian's HR strategy in the early 2000's at least. Several in our squadron were called on a Monday at 4pm asking if they were interested in a Wed morning interview. If you said yes, well you were in the flow..... if you said no, they said, OK we'll contact you again when we're going to do interviews...... sometimes that call never came twice.

Sounds like you treat our new hires great! Get over yourself. If somebody is new and excited to be here great. Nice change from all the negativity.

What’s it like being such a miserable person?
