Guys snicker when they see you from my side, they starting wearing hats, so they could differentiate. If the dudes I know are wearing hats, there is definitely a problem. Don’t worry though, no LVX pilots that hate this place so much will be furloughed. You are all safe. Some lucky dudes that actually wanted to work for this company get to take the fall!

As a former VX pilot who has gone to the 737 I can tell you you are completely full of *******. As mentioned by another poster, I have experienced zero tension from any LAS pilot towards me nor have I witnessed anything of the like when seeing my fellow VX'ers now in the 737 interact with other LAS pilots. It's a shame you yourself are such an angry, bitter person trying to stir up controversy where there is none. This whole thing is stressful enough without a person like yourself playing the Pied Piper to scratch some insecurity itch. Your numbers may end up being spot on 100% accurate and you will still be worthless to the the greater good of this group. You need to take some serious stock of yourself Mac.

Tokyo Rose, the Japanese propaganda radio station during WW2, would tell the American GIs when the bombs were going to fall. OTZ does the same. He pretends to be your helping friend with his special information but his true intent is to sow distrust in our union leadership and stir animosity between pilots.

APC is mostly for entertainment purposes and a good place to vent anonymously so let your average Joe and a$$ clowns do so. No need to ban posters--just learn to hit the ignore button. Everyone has the right to post on here. APC, just like flightinfo has become pretty useless for good gouge and the moderators are running rampant. I am sorry you are incapable of understanding the breadth of the catastrophe our industry faces right now. In no way are we proud to put out two bids, and subsequently cancel them. We would much prefer putting out bids filled with upgrades and growth. In your 12 years with the company we have never faced a crises as destructive, as dynamic, as this one. Our industry changed overnight, ferocious economic corrosion that will take years to recover from. Our path is not complex, we are determined to save this company. It’s hard for me to believe you can’t understand while recklessly burning through liquidity, we are quickly destroying our future. Continually adding debt, while continually losing money, is a business model that is unacceptable at any publicly held company. That path would soon result in bankruptcy and the loss of every employees job. You have been continually advised of our situation and our intentions. Our goal is simple, stabilize this company, and as economics change, be ready to take advantage. These opportunities, will not present themselves overnight, but will at sometime in our future, and we will be ready. At this point, we must reduce our costs, as quickly as we can. This must be done in the most economical way possible. We have now found that path, and we will forge through the tough road ahead, hopeful that blue skies will present themselves, once again in our future.

What is a good estimate as to how long a furlough and downgrade would last? They said an estimate of 50% down this winter and next summer is about 20% down capacity. That pretty much matches what Boeing's CEO said a couple weeks ago. Just extrapolation but would it be fair to say by end of next year we are back to 100%? Max 1 yr pain? Hopefully no longer than that. The Spanish flu lasted 2 yrs and that was with no vaccines, treatments, or distancing. Covid19 started Dec '19 so 2 yrs would be end of year 2021.
