Union Dues
For those of us facing furlough, why are we forced to pay union dues at a time like this? ILWU isn't forced to pay dues
|
Quick question since this is a useless thread
They said health insurance was covered for furloughees by the pilot group last furlough. Anybody know how much that cost was and for how many pilots? |
okay ALPA guy, let people voice their opinion

Union Dues
It was just shy of $1200 a month. Last time, a furloughee paid it and was reimbursed on a month to month basis.
As for how much the assessment was, I don’t know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Because times like this is when your leadership is working their collective butts off to save as many jobs as possible, It’s little to ask as I am likely to be furloughed it’s just part of being a unionized pilot and part of your professional expense, as is your medical. Hang in there this will all pass and I’d rather be furloughed with a descent job to come back to than take one cent of a concession to safe my job. It’s all about the long game. Don’t be so short sighted that it bites you in the butt down the road spending years to get back to where you were.

Since this is my first union job its all kind of new to me. I had no idea how terrible the management tactics were going to be. MEA/OTZ fear posts and now anti union posts. How fun.

I agree with you, just think it is greedy at a time like this
