I imagine the union assumes that we are all adults and are all aware that there will be furloughs. It’s pretty obvious listening to their communications, I haven’t heard them ever say there would be no furloughs so to say they are not being honest with the pilots is not true in my opinion. They aren’t going to throw numbers out there without a hard number from the company. The company clearly knows there will be furloughs but just as clearly has no idea how to move forward as evidenced by their multiple bids and cancellations.

I suppose, but then it sounds like an educated guess without actually "knowing". I don't blame the union at all. It's not like they are withholding a formal pilot reduction notification from the pilots. Am I missing something?

This, I honestly get embarrassed for my pilot group every time I get on here. OTZ is but hurt over not being elected or bumped out at the doing of the SFO LEC and LAX LEC, and New Guy gives all ex VXers a bad name. today is first time to go from 12.5% to 8% although 90% chance based on what ? mitigation? Industry in our segment are all saying possible 100% mitigation yet AS is hard on 12.5% to 8%? seems rather unremarkable for an airline that claims the power to do the right thing
